I just received an invite to my friends’ wedding in utah next month. The feminist in me really appreciates that they addressed it to Ms. Lorene V. Conversely, I hate when people call me ma’am. I’d much rather be called miss.

It’s funny, Ms is the norm here now – in fact Miss doesn’t appear on the checkboxes and dropdowns of many forms these days. But when people ask me on the phone how to address me I always go for Miss – makes me sound younger
