Email “Sounds”

Quite often I’ll hear friends, family and coworkers talk about how an email or IM sounded. As in..sounded angry or pissed off. I usually point out the problem with this…emails don’t have sound. So it’s just their interpretation of it and not worthing getting upset over. Unless someone uses some meta tags and prolific emoticons it’s hard to know exactly what they are saying.

Personally, I’m pushing for all emails to require embedded “emotion tags”. That way no one will get confused.
